The Village Board will put the final touches Tuesday on an agreement for traffic signals and road upgrades at Army Trail and Swift Roads at Pampered Chef Inc.’s new corporate headquarters.
The state will pay for just over half of the $975,000 project through a pair of grants. The state’s Economic Development Program will provide $466,000 and the Truck Access Route Program will contribute $43,500.
Pampered Chef will pay the village’s $466,000 share as well as any overruns, Assistant Village Manager John Berley said.

The project includes two traffic signals, one at Army Trail Road and Meadow Drive and the other on Swift Road at the entrance to the Pampered Chef property. Workers will rebuild both intersections and widen Meadow from 18 to 40 feet along Pampered Chef’s property line. A cul-de-sac in the middle of Meadow will give trucks a place to turn around without straying into the unincorporated residential neighborhood behind the Pampered Chef site.
