Woodland School District 50 is holding a community forum Wednesday to give people a chance to ask questions of the school board and learn more about the district.
Included on the agenda is an overview on the Woodland summer school programs, a report on Woodland’s long-range strategic goals and a discussion of standardized test performance. The board will also review the transition process for students as they move between schools and discuss how construction at Woodland Middle School will affect traffic and parking.
The forum will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center at Woodland Intermediate School, 17371 W. Gages Lake Rd. Community forums are held several times a year, district spokeswoman Tami Stough said, to create a dialogue between the board and local residents.
District 50 has 6,700 pupils in kindergarten through 8th grade. The district serves western Gurnee, Gages Lake and a number of surrounding communities.
