Chicago rocker Ralph Covert, who teaches Wiggleworms classes at the OLD TOWN SCHOOL OF FOLK MUSIC, is giving a concert to celebrate the release of his CD “Ralph’s World.” It’s a universe where everyone is welcome to join in his songs. They can help Covert count duckies using numbers from several languages, sing the words about a teddy bear who lives on a mountain of chocolate cake and perhaps use their imaginations to make up their own absurd lyrics and add them to a song called “You Can’t Rollerskate in a Buffalo Herd.” Kids can also replace the lyrics of a song called “Drivin’ in My Car” with the beep of the horn or the swish of the wipers. Everyone gets really silly when Covert asks them to include the sound of the car’s muffler, too. Covert expects some special musical guests to come and join the fun. Ralph Covert Kids Show, 4 p.m. Sunday, Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Ave., $12; 773-728-6000.
