Des Plaines business owners are expected to ask questions about parking policies, snow removal and city-sponsored tree planting when they meet with Acting Mayor Tony Arredia and city department heads.
The meeting, at 7:30 a.m. Thursday in City Hall, 1420 Miner St., is the third of its kind organized by Arredia since he took office last year. Arredia said the early start is an effort to accommodate business owners.
Invitations to the session were mailed to about 3,000 businesses in Des Plaines, including about 600 Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry members, said Richard Ornberg, the chamber’s executive director.
Police Chief James Ryan and Economic Development Director Bill Schneider are expected to attend the open forum, Arredia said.
Interested parties, including business people who did not receive invitations, can call the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry at 847-824-4200 or the mayor’s office at 847-391-5301 to reserve a spot at the meeting.
