A 22-year-old Waukegan man was killed late Tuesday when he was thrown from his motorcycle after it collided with a car in Zion.
Aaron K. Eaton, of the 2100 block of Sunset Avenue, was riding his 1998 Suzuki 600 motorcycle north on Lewis Avenue near 31st Street shortly before 9 p.m., according to Zion police.
Witnesses said that Eaton was traveling at a high speed, police said.
A Kenosha man driving his 1998 sedan south on Lewis Avenue was in the process of making a left turn onto 31st Street when his vehicle collided with Eaton’s bike, the release said.
Eaton was thrown to the pavement, police said.

Eaton was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, according to Zion Police Sgt. David Bose. Bose said that a friend of the victim told police that Eaton never wore a helmet.
Eaton was transported to Provena-St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan, where he was pronounced dead at 9:38 p.m., according to Lake County Deputy Chief Coroner Jim Wipper.
The driver of the sedan, Orlando L. Gutierrez, was also transported to St. Therese, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
No charges have been filed in the incident, which remains under investigation, police said.
