Want to know how to recycle old tires, what to do with old paint or how to contact area garbage haulers?
The answers are now available on the new Solid Waste Agency of Lake County Web site at www.swalco.org.
“In this age of instant communication and information overload, SWALCO wanted to utilize the Internet to provide our residents with an easy way of accessing information on a broad variety of solid-waste issues,” said spokeswoman Monica Duebbert.
The site provides listings of locations to recycle tires, car batteries, scrap metals, paper and other items.
“The Internet is a great recycling tool–access to a virtual global encyclopedia that uses no paper,” the agency said.
