For more than 20 years Chicago-area artist Margaret Wharton has made witty and beguiling sculptures by disassembling and reconfiguring such everyday objects as chairs and books. Her exhibition opening 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Jean Albano Gallery, 215 W. Superior St., will extend her practice into an installation that recreates Wharton’s studio on wallpaper. Be prepared to be engaged and charmed. The exhibition will continue through April 29.
