A monthlong undercover police investigation into a Knollwood massage parlor led this week to the arrest of two Lake Bluff women on prostitution charges, authorities said Thursday.
The Lake County sheriff’s office began the investigation in response to residents’ complaints of round-the-clock activity at Dale’s Acupuncture, in the 100 block of Waukegan Road, said Lt. Fred Heidecke of the sheriff’s office.
Late Wednesday, police arrested Jo Mi La, 25, and Sun Lee, 35, both of the 29000 block of Waukegan Road, Heidecke said. The two women allegedly were employed as masseuses, although neither holds a state license to practice massage therapy, Heidecke said.
On two occasions, Heidecke said, the women offered sex for money to undercover officers posing as clients.
After their arrests, both women were taken to the Lake County Jail, where they were awaiting bond hearings late Thursday, Heidecke said.
