The New Lenox Plan Commission has asked for a revised site plan of a proposed senior citizen housing development in New Lenox Township.
Lance Goebel, an owner of the property at 22757 S. Cedar Road, is seeking a special-use permit and rezoning to build a 60-unit assisted-living center on 5.1 acres.
Planning and Development Director Robin Traubenik said the Plan Commission wants the proposal to include a 24-foot entrance and the 18-foot fire lanes recommended by the New Lenox Fire Protection District.
Commissioners also want to see a landscape plan when the project comes up for discussion again at the Feb. 7 meeting.
The proposal is being evaluated as a multifamily residential development, Traubenik said. Commissioners also are looking at an Orland Park ordinance regarding senior citizen housing.
