New Lenox Economic Development Director Randall Lohman is preparing a development plan for the town, members of the Economic Development Commission learned recently.
Lohman said the document will provide “a basis or foundation from which we can build our future.”
Along with a mission statement, maps and a statistical community profile, the action plan will include some timelines for accomplishing development goals.
Lohman is also working on assembling recruitment materials and will work up a marketing plan directed at companies seeking new locations.
Lohman said he will distribute a draft of the plan to members in December so they can discuss it in detail in January.
