Wonder Lake dentist Gregory Sierminski would become the newest addition to the nine-member McHenry County Board of Health if the County Board approves a recommendation of the Public Health and Human Services Committee.
The committee voted 6-0 Friday to recommend Sierminski to fill the unexpired term of Dr. William McNerney, a Crystal Lake dentist who resigned for personal reasons after two months on the board. The Board of Health oversees operations of the county Health Department.
McNerney suggested Sierminski as his replacement. Sierminski has been practicing in Wonder Lake for more than 20 years. He also has volunteered at a county-run dental clinic established two years ago.
