We couldn’t get enough of the knuckleheaded, scaredy-pooch antics of the new cartoon “Courage the Cowardly Dog” (premieres 8 p.m. Central Time Friday on the Cartoon Network).
A pink runt of a spotted dog, Courage does anything but live up to his name most days. In the two episodes we saw, Courage is reduced to a wide-eyed bundle of nerves when his owners (the sweet old lady Muriel and the cranky, mean Eustace the Farmer) get sucked into creepy predicaments.
Despite his mega-willies, Courage somehow finds unusual ways to help his hapless humans. In one episode, he logs onto the Internet to find a cure for “weremole bites.” In another, Courage confronts an evil cat who runs an abandoned hotel by taking him on in a game of handball.
If you like cheesy horror flicks and have an offbeat sense of humor, “Courage the Cowardly Dog” will have you howling. OWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!
