The Lincoln-Way High School construction project is on schedule, construction manager Ron Price told the school board recently.

Workers at the East Campus in Frankfort are two-thirds of the way toward enclosing the academic wing, and roof work will start in about two weeks, Price said.

Pool and foundation work are under way, and the grounds have been paved, fenced and seeded, he said.

At the Central Campus in New Lenox, the ground outside the academic wing has been paved and second-floor windows are being installed.

The auditorium roof is under construction, and workers hope to have the structure enclosed before winter.

Both campuses are being remodeled into separate four-year high schools to accommodate a rapidly growing enrollment.

The split will take place in fall of 2001.
