player ready...Two sailors at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center have been charged with raping a woman at a Lake Bluff motel, authorities said Tuesday.
Robert Kinard, 18, and Etionix Antonetti-Cruz, 21, allegedly met the victim, an 18-year-old Round Lake woman, and some of her friends at a McDonald’s restaurant Sunday near the training center in North Chicago, according to law enforcement officials.
The group went to a party and then to the By-the-Way Motel in Lake Bluff, where the woman and the two men allegedly ended up alone, said Assistant State’s Atty. George Strickland.
At about 3 a.m. Monday, the two men allegedly raped the woman. After the alleged attack, the woman reported it to police at the training center, Strickland said.
Kinard and Antonetti-Cruz are each charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual assault, Strickland said.
If convicted, they each face a prison sentence of up to 60 years.
