Cable music channel MTV is expanding its animated offerings with a new series called “Downtown,” which will look at the lives of a group of twentysomethings in Manhattan, starting Aug. 3.

Also in the works is a daily half-hour series called “Undressed,” which will look at relationships while focusing on discussions that occur while people get ready for bed.
