A 44-year-old Carol Stream resident whose efforts helped pass Community Consolidated School District 93’s construction referendum proposal last year has been appointed to fill a vacancy on its board.
Kevin Hufford, a maintenance worker for Northwest Airlines, will complete the remaining 2 years of Susan McNees’ term. McNees, who served Carol Stream as a school board member, village trustee and longtime community activist, died this spring.
