Since 1969, Downers Grove Area FISH has provided emergency food, clothing, financial assistance and other services to people in need in Lisle, Westmont, Darien, Woodridge and Downers Grove.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the non-denominational Christian service organization will have a program at 7:30 p.m. April 20 in First Congregational Church, 1047 Curtiss St.
The meeting will feature music by the St. Andrew’s Brass Band and a short talk by Irene Cho, a counselor at the Downers Grove Department of Health and Human Resources.
The group, which represents more than 20 churches and many charitable organizations, is seeking volunteers for its programs.
Volunteers are needed to drive, answer telephone calls from home and work in the FISH food pantry and clothing center in the Downers Grove Township building, 4340 Prince St.
