The annexation that brought land at La Grange and LaPorte Roads into Mokena should provide good opportunities for development, officials said.
A development plan approved by the Village Board Monday includes installing utilities and coordinating development to ensure good access. The annexation agreement earmarks the land for retail use.
The AOK Campground property is “almost 9 acres. It’s a nice piece of property,” Community Development Director Alan Zordan said.
The 8.9-acre site is prime land for economic development, Zordan said Monday.
