A set of goals approved last week by the Lincoln-Way High School Board for the 1999-2000 school year focuses on easing the transition from a one-school district to a two-school district and upgrading student achievement.
Activities aimed at a smooth transition in the school district include planning for a balance between new and experienced staff at each school and involving students in choosing a mascot and colors for the East Campus school.
Objectives for improving student achievement include developing a format for tracking and collecting student work that meets the requirements of the State of Illinois.
