More than 800 species of subtropical forest and semi-arid cactus scrublands with mangrove swamps in near-shore waters. Lizards, 300 species of birds, sea turtles and mongoose roam the land, along with feral cats and donkeys. A huge variety of fish and coral reefs occupy the water.
