Seriously, Florida artist John Zweifel’s meticulously designed miniature White House doesn’t acknowledge the Starr Report. (Although Zweifel, who has toured the House hundreds of times, reproduces Richard Nixon’s cigar burns on the carpet.) Zweifel began studying the president’s residence in 1961, when John F. Kennedy’s staff gave him access to study the woodwork and curtains, and he has updated his model with every new administration. The 1-foot-to-1-inch replica, first displayed in 1975, continues its world tour starting at 10 a.m. Friday at Lincoln Mall, Lincoln Highway and Cicero Avenue in Matteson.
