A 40-year-old Rolling Meadows woman was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on the Northwest Tollway.
Christina Moore of the 4600 block of Kenilworth Drive was pronounced dead at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge at 7:05 a.m., less than an hour after she lost control of her car and crashed into the center median, according to the Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Police said Moore was driving east, between Arlington Heights and Busse Roads, about 6:20 a.m. when she lost control of her Toyota Camry, veered across two lanes of traffic and struck the median.
The impact caused the car to flip, and Moore was thrown from the vehicle, police said. She was alone in the car and apparently was not wearing a seat belt. Two of three eastbound lanes were closed for about 30 minutes after the accident.
Police do not believe any other cars were involved in the crash, which remained under investigation Wednesday.
