For the second time, Tinley Park officials have postponed action on a proposal for senior housing in the village.
Trustees are delaying action on the request by Marriott International to rezone about 5 acres at Centennial Drive and Centennial Circle from business to residential for the development, citing concerns that the units would be too small.
Marriott’s proposal calls for a senior facility consisting of a community center and six “cottages,” including rooms for Alzheimer’s patients. The development would be composed entirely of assisted-living units and would house up to 108 residents.
