Just as they did at their last meeting, trustees postponed action on the request by Marriott International to rezone about 5 acres at Centennial Drive and Centennial Circle from business to residential for the development, citing concerns that the units would be too small.
Marriott’s proposal calls for a senior facility consisting of a community center and six “cottages,” including rooms for Alzheimer’s patients. The development would be composed entirely of assisted-living units and would house up to 108 residents.
Also Tuesday night, Village Board members granted final approval to rezoning land at 169th Street and Harlem Avenue to medium-density residential from single-family so Reenders Yarling Properties can build Hanover Place, a senior development.
