PATRICK STEWART PERFORMS CHARLES DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL
By Charles Dickens, Simon & Schuster Audio, approximately 110 minutes, unabridged, $16. Read by Patrick Stewart.
From the moment the inimitable voice of Patrick Stewart announces, “Marley was dead,” Dickens’ Christmas classic comes to life like never before. In this solo interpretation, Stewart doesn’t just perform the already familiar story, he transforms it into the richly imagined commentary on redemption and human kindness that Dickens intended it to be.
