Lyons Township 2, Naperville North 1: Gino Ortega’s goal early in the second half propelled Lyons (11-5-2) to an upset of the No. 6 Huskies. Rishi Shah also scored for Lyons, which is 8-1-1 in its last 10 games.

“(The victory) comes at a good time,” Lyons coach Vic Montoya said. “We’ve been working to play a full game and stay composed. It was a physical game, and we stayed focused.”

Anthony Minniti scored a first-half goal for Naperville North (13-4-3).

Waubonsie Valley 4, Bartlett 0: Derrick Clanton, Jeff Klitzke, Alan Loots and Adam Hitchman tallied as No. 2 Waubonsie (15-2-1, 7-0) rolled in the Upstate Eight. Bartlett dropped to 6-11-2, 2-5-1.

Libertyville 6, North Chicago 1: Jeff Russo scored a pair of goals as No. 9 Libertyville (13-1-2, 5-1-1) clinched the North Suburban conference title.

Carmel 2, St. Patrick 1: Jeremy Leagei had the game-winner with 20 minutes remaining for Carmel (16-3, 6-1) in the East Suburban Catholic. Jordon Tuttle also scored for the Corsairs.

Highland Park 2, Deerfield 1: Ryan Wolin and Edgar Melchor had the goals as Highland Park (14-5-1, 7-3) prevailed in the Central Suburban League North.

Prairie Ridge 7, Dundee-Crown 4: Prairie Ridge (21-1, 8-0) stayed perfect in the Fox Valley with Ryan Zoellick’s two goals and two assists.

Rolling Meadows 1, Palatine 0: Todd Grossnickle scored the only goal and Brian Allen made seven saves to lead Rolling Meadows (16-3-2).

Schaumburg 2, Hersey 0: Schaumburg’s Hamid Mehreioskouei was unfazed by double-teams, scoring in the second half to help Schaumburg (16-3) end the regular season on a high note. Hersey is 7-10-3.

Volleyball

Naperville Central d. Glenbard East 15-2, 15-5: No. 4 Naperville (28-0, 12-0) rolled in the DuPage Valley behind Elizabeth Gower’s 24 assists and seven kills, Lauren Schwer’s nine kills and Betsy Malm’s eight kills. Glenbard East fell to 15-11, 5-7.

Prairie Ridge d. Crystal Lake South 15-6, 15-11: Hilary Sexton’s 15 kills powered No. 10 Prairie Ridge (26-2, 11-0) in the Fox Valley sweep. Maggie Haen’s 14 assists and Melissa Benson’s 13 anchored the offense for the victors. Amy Bender’s nine kills led Crystal Lake South (15-12-1, 8-4).

Buffalo Grove d. Rolling Meadows 15-3, 13-15, 15-12: Patty Vermiglio served eight aces and Chris Nagy added six kills to lead Buffalo Grove (16-13, 6-4) in the Mid-Suburban East.

Jacobs d. Lake Zurich 15-4, 15-5: Kim Oberstar and Jorie Miguel both had eight kills as the Golden Eagles (28-1, 11-1) cruised in the Fox Valley.
