When it comes to entry and exit requirements, there is no one rule that applies to all of the Caribbean Islands. The Bahamas and Bermuda also have different rules.
Some islands don’t require a passport to enter, but they do require “proof,” broadly defined as a picture I.D. and proof of U.S. citizenship either with a voter’s registration card or a certified copy of a birth certificate. It’s best to contact each island to see which it accepts.
Most destinations require evidence that you will leave, such as a return or onward ticket.
