Satisfied that their safety concerns have been met, Glendale Heights trustees last week approved a children’s amusement center for the Concorde Green Shopping Center.
It is uncertain when Jeepers, which offers a restaurant, indoor rides and non-violent video games, will open at the North Avenue and Bloomingdale Road center, said Marty Olsen, the village’s community development director.
Safety and security were concerns of Plan Commission members.
The company plans to use stickers to match children with adults. The stickers will ensure that children aren’t left behind and that they leave with their parents or another appropriate adult, company officials said. Background checks will also be conducted on all employees.
