Plans have been finalized for the 21st Annual Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival, scheduled for Sept. 6 and 7 at Island Park.
The Chicago Cajun Aces, Andrew Calhoun, Cosy Sheridan and Lou Killen are among the nearly three-dozen acts from the United States, Canada and Europe booked to perform on the main stage at the event.
In addition to music and storytelling, the festival will feature folk dancing, an old-time barn dance, jam sessions, food vendors and children’s activities.
Festival activities will be in progress rain or shine from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days. The site is wheelchair accessible. Suggested admission donation is $10 per day for adults and $8 per day for senior citizens and teenagers.
