Outdoor work on the Lincoln-Way High School expansion project will continue through the summer, Ron Price of Henry Bros. Construction told the school board last week.
Meanwhile, contractors and school officials are meeting with pool consultants to lay out the design of the proposed swimming pools.
The expansion project, financed by a bond issue approved in a March referendum and a state construction grant, will enlarge the freshman-sophomore campus in Frankfort and the junior-senior campus in New Lenox into two four-year high schools with separate athletic facilities and swimming pools.
The expansion is designed to cope with increasing enrollment in the Lincoln-Way area.
