The Glendale Heights Plan Commission on Tuesday night again delayed action on a plan to operate an indoor amusement park for children at North Avenue and Bloomingdale Road.

Commissioners said they want more information from Jeepers, a national chain, about security and want input from the Police Department on whether officials believe they would be plagued by problems from the combination amusement park and family-oriented restaurant geared for children under 12.

The business hopes to open at the Concord Greene Shopping Center with games, animated characters and rides. It could open in November if approval comes soon, company officials said.

The conditional-use permit being sought by the firm allows the village to determine whether indoor amusement facilities, such as bowling alleys or roller-skating rinks, will fit in with the area.
