Citing safety concerns, the Romeoville Village Board has amended the zoning code to limit placement of outdoor basketball goals.

The change, approved last week, was to prevent portable basketball goals from being placed in the street.

Now, outdoor basketball goals must be placed at least 5 feet within a property line and 6 feet from a sidewalk.
