Bargain-hunters can bid on 150 late-model cars, trucks and public works vehicles at the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference’s auction of surplus motor equipment, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in Parking Lot 12 at the College of DuPage.

Used vehicles from 20 municipalities and other government jurisdictions will be sold “as is.” All cars, trucks and other pieces of equipment must be driven away, towed away or otherwise removed by winning bidders on Saturday, and all sales are final.

Gates open at 8:30 a.m. for vehicle viewing and bidder registration. Auction participants must be at least 18-years-old and must provide a driver’s license or equivalent valid identification in order to register.

Successful bidders will be required to pay in full at the auction site with cash, certified checks, money orders or cashier’s checks. No personal checks or credit cards will be accepted.

“People won’t be able to go to the bank and take out a car loan,” said Desmond Ryan, a spokesman for the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference. For more information, call 630-571-0480.
