Christ Lawson, the director, told the Village Board that the annexation of the 249 acres represents another phase in the airport’s growth.
Lawson said the airport, which was annexed to Romeoville in 1992, is a reliever airport for corporate aircraft. He said that having a facility that can be used by corporate planes is good for business development in Will County.
“Mr. Lawson, we’re very happy with your airport,” Mayor Fred Dewald told him.”You bring a lot of business to Romeoville.”
