A five-year contract approved by the Lincoln-Way High School Board for Supt. Lawrence Wyllie will put him at the helm for the duration of the school district’s current expansion process.
Wyllie’s contract provides for a 3.5 percent raise, bringing his salary to $123,200 in the 1998-99 school year, with salary reopener clauses in subsequent years.
School district goals are included in the contact as performance standards for the superintendent. The contract extends through the 2002-03 school year.
The school board also approved an agreement accepting the conditions of a state construction grant awarded to the Lincoln-Way district last week.
The $15.9 million grant from the Illinois Capital Development Board will help finance the $60 million expansion that will convert the freshman-sophomore campus in Frankfort and the junior-senior campus in New Lenox into four-year high schools.
