KILLING THE DREAM

By Gerald Posner, Random House Audiobooks, 4 hours, abridged, $24. Read by the author.

Former Wall Street lawyer Gerald Posner takes us on a dramatic tour of the life of James Earl Ray, the assassin of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who was apprehended in London’s Heathrow Airport more than a month after King’s death in 1968. Posner convincingly debunks Ray’s story of a conspiracy masterminded by a mysterious leader called Raoul by pointing out repeated inconsistencies in Ray’s stories.
