Three members of a Lemont family remained hospitalized Wednesday from injuries received in an accident in southern Illinois in which the 13-year-old daughter was killed when their van rolled over eight times after the father fell asleep at the wheel, police said.
Sarah Ross, a 7th-grade pupil at Old Quarry Middle School in Lemont, was killed in the accident that occurred Tuesday on Interstate 24 east of Vienna, police said.
Carol Ross, 36, was listed in serious condition Tuesday in Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Her husband, James A. Ross, 44, was in fair condition at the hospital, and the couple’s son, James T., 11, was in good condition, hospital officials said.
