The State Board of Elections this week found the amended campaign finance reports from Geneva Mayor Tom Coughlin’s successful 1997 campaign to be in order.
The board had earlier found that Coughlin had made a handful of errors on reports, including underreporting some donations and failure to report a personal loan to his campaign. But the board ruled those errors were corrected in amended forms filed in December.
