“Ascension” is Top Cow’s newest comic, and it’s one you may wanna grab for your own collection.
The comic book follows a doctor and her security guard pal on a quest to save the world from the evil demon-winged Dayaks. As the story goes along, the doctor, Andromeda, becomes a character resembling an angel. Together with a little girl who also has angel wings, Andromeda and her security guard pal go against their former employer, Griegoff, to stop the Dayaks from conquering the world. To do this, they use an ancient book with mystical powers.
“Ascension” has a medieval feel to it, and the illustrations reinforce that feel. The art pulls you into the story as you follow the trio on their adventure. “Ascension” is one of the best new comics out there and a deserves a read. Look for it at comic book shops and on newsstands.
