The old look never seems to go out of style–in architecture, at least.

Stonegate Terrace, a new condominium development in Chicago, was designed to blend in with the mature Lincoln Park neighborhood where it is being built.

When complete, the seven-story structure at 615 W. Deming Pl. will house 17 residences in single-level, two-story and penthouse floor plans. They range in price from $325,000 to $750,000 and in size from 1,250 to 2,700 square feet.

First occupancies are expected this fall, according to Frank Bailey, president of Stonegate Development.

The exterior is brick with masonry construction of limestone and Renaissance stone. The structure was designed by the architectural firm of Sullivan Goulette Ltd., with the intent of evoking the grand vintage apartments of East Lake Shore Drive and New York’s Central Park West.

The individual outdoor terraces–reflected in the project’s name–are from 90 to 730 square feet and overlook a landscaped courtyard. Yards are enclosed by a six-foot wrought-iron fence.

The simplex units range from $325,000 to $440,000, the duplexes from $380,000 to $575,000 and the penthouse, featuring three terraces, is from $750,000.

Fifteen floor plans are available. In-building heated parking is deeded to each owner. The security entry intercom system will be connected to unit phones.

All homes include wall-to-wall carpeting, GE appliances, gas log fireplace and individual storage units. Options include granite counter tops, marble tile floors in baths, hardwood flooring, wood-burning fireplaces and crown moldings.

Stonegate Terrace is being marketed by Beliard, Gordon & Partners Ltd.
