A 79-year-old St. Anne woman died Wednesday after her car hit an ice-cream delivery truck, authorities said.
Annie P. Oliver was pronounced dead at 9:33 a.m. Wednesday in Provena St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Oliver’s car collided with the truck about 8:50 a.m. as she drove southbound on Drecksler Road, according to Will County Sheriff’s Police.
Police said a preliminary report indicated that Oliver’s vehicle failed to stop at an intersection and crashed into the truck driven eastbound on County Line Road by Gregory Lucano, 23, of Tinley Park.
Lucano was not injured in the accident.
