Kane County Republicans will have plenty of chances to see U.S. Senate candidate Loleta Didrickson in advance of the March 17 primary.

Didrickson, the Illinois comptroller, is running against state Sen. Peter Fitzgerald (R-Inverness) for the right to challenge Democratic incumbent Carol Moseley-Braun in November. Didrickson will be honored at a Feb. 11 fundraising reception at the Oscar Swan Inn in Geneva.

Tickets to that 5 p.m. event are $75 per person. For information, call John Weck at 847-428-1950.

On March 1, Didrickson and Secretary of State George Ryan, the presumptive GOP nominee for governor, headline the Kane County Republican Central Committee’s annual Spring Brunch. That event, which starts at noon, will be held at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles.

State and local candidates are expected to attend. Tickets are $50 per person.
