A golf tournament in Chicago — in February?!
Indeed, as a continuation of the long and celebrated association of golf and Scotch whiskey, the Glenlivit distilling company is sponsoring an Office Putting Championship.
Here’s how it works: The first round of the tournament will take place Feb. 16-27. Sixty-four companies will be randomly chosen to compete from those that register. Employees of the chosen companies will play the short game in their offices. They will wear “proper business attire” (it’s in the rules), as they will face two par-2 holes, two par-3 holes and one par-4 hole. The holes are to be of varying lengths. Competition is match play.
