Intersection renovations at Wolf and LaPorte Roads will get some federal funding, Village Engineer Paul Pearson told the Village Board recently.

A grant application for federal funding submitted to the Will County Governmental League has been accepted, so the village will get $910,000, or 80 percent of the cost.

The work will add turning lanes, street lights, curbs, gutters and storm sewers, Pearson said.

The first phase of the intersection engineering plan awaits Illinois Department of Transportation approval, expected next month, he said.
