What scores with Michael Jordan also may hit the spot with condominium buyers in Highland Park.

The architect of Jordan’s multimillion-dollar North Shore mansion–James March Goldberg of Lake Forest-based Goldberg Downey Architects–has designed another large project, the 2000 Green Bay Road Condominiums in Highland Park.

The $25 million development will consist of two four-story brick-and-stone buildings in a traditional style. They will be built in a landscaped area that includes a gazebo.

Groundbreaking is expected in early spring, with completion a year later, according to co-developer Jeffrey Kaiser, partner in Chicago-based Highland Property Development.

The two- and three-bedroom residences with 2 to 3 1/2 baths will offer 1,495 to 2,374 square feet of living area. They are base-priced from $284,900 to $414,900.

All nine floor plans will have either patios or balconies off the living room, great room or family room.

Eleven single-family homes on the site will be demolished this winter to make way for the new project. It will be within walking distance of Highland Park’s downtown shopping district.

The general contractor will be David Katz of Bernard Katz & Associates. Garry Benson, president of Garrison Partners Ltd., is marketing consultant for the property. The preconstruction sales center is at 1848 First St. in the north suburb.
