A Waukegan man died Sunday after he was hit by a car while walking across a street in North Chicago.
Howard Dobbins, 62, was leaving a bar in the 2000 block of Sheridan Road about 8 p.m. Sunday when he stepped into traffic, police said.
Dobbins was pronounced dead at 10:31 p.m. in St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, according to the Lake County coroner’s office.
The driver, a Lake Forest resident, was not charged, police said.
