JANE EYRE
By Charlotte Bronte, Brilliance Corp., 20 hours, $21.95. Read by Susan Ericksen.
Reader Susan Ericksen portrays a convincingly passionate but beleaguered Jane as we follow her from severe Mr. Brocklehurst’s orphanage to a stint as a governess for the young ward of rugged Edward Rochester. At first the country manor of Thornfield seems nearly paradisiacal–but for the tormented presence secreted in the attic.
