The fourth quarter is quickly becoming Brett Leonard’s personal domain.

Case in point: The Glenbrook South point guard accounted for all but one of the fourth-ranked Titans’ 15 fourth-quarter points in a 55-46 victory over No. 6 Sandburg Saturday in Glenview.

Her performance was reminiscent of her effort Wednesday, when she took over in the final minutes to pull out a one-point victory over No. 10 Maine South.

This time, though, she made sure it wasn’t so close.

Leonard, who finished with 18 points, scored 11 points, sank five of her team’s six free throws and handed out three assists in the fourth.

Sandburg (7-1), which was led by Lola Dada’s 15 points, cut Glenbrook South’s 10-point halftime lead down to three entering the final quarter.

“It just came down to making free throws in the fourth quarter,” Glenbrook South coach Howard Romanek said.

Keagan Thalin added 12 points and Susie McCreery 10 for the Titans (8-0).

Hinsdale Central 51, Lyons Township 44: Laura Barnard had 18 points and Kori Rentas scored all 11 of her points in the fourth quarter (including 9-of-12 free-throw shooting) as the 19th-ranked Red Devils (5-2, 1-1) downed No. 16 Lyons (5-1, 1-1) in a West Suburban Silver showdown. Barnard hit a three-pointer with 1 minute 41 seconds left in the third quarter to give Hinsdale the lead for good. Katie Meyers led LT with 14 but was held to only two points in the second half.

Lincoln-Way 52, Providence 44: Lincoln-Way (6-2) gained bragging rights in the battle of New Lenox teams as the Knights overcame a 30-19 halftime deficit, outscoring the Celtics 13-1 in the final 6:20 of the fourth quarter. Nicci Piech scored 12 of her 17 points in the second half and added 11 rebounds for Lincoln-Way. Jenny Ewald and Lauren Cramer had 16 points apiece to lead Providence.

Lockport 51, Naperville North 39: Trisha Jakel scored 22 points and Lauren Sobczak added 10 to lead Lockport (6-1).

West Aurora 55, St. Charles 43: Jackie Shook led the Blackhawks (6-2) with 19 points, 13 rebounds and eight blocks. Molly Jones scored 15 for St. Charles (2-6).

Wheaton Academy 62, Walther Lutheran 32: Jennifer Clum (15 points, 13 rebounds), Jenny Fichera (15 points) and Sarah Harris (14) paced Wheaton (4-4, 2-0) in the Private League.
