A residential auction in Highland Park will offer something for everyone–an older estate home, a new model and six houses that have yet to be built.

The auction will be staged by Sheldon Good & Co. at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 in Highland Park Country Club.

Bidding will open at $700,000 for a sprawling, 6,800-square-foot residence with five bedrooms, maid’s quarters and four-car garage. The address is 2160 Painters Lake Rd.

Featuring views of woods and a four-acre lake, the single-story home was built in 1972. Since then the property has been subdivided into 19 lots for the construction of new homes.

Called Painters Lake, the upscale subdivision is on the west side of Ridge Road and south of Park Avenue. The estate home can be inspected from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 14

The three-bedroom model at 870 Evergreen Way can be viewed from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 13 and 14. It includes three baths, a fireplace and two-car garage. The opening bid is $275,000.

Buyers of the six unbuilt homes will be able to choose from three floor plans. Two of them will be sold without reserve subject to minimum bids of $230,000 to $250,000.

Evergreen Way is located on the north side of Deerfield Road, just west of Ridge Road.
