A 19-year-old Lindenhurst man was indicted for attempted murder Wednesday for allegedly shooting a man in Gurnee earlier this month.
A Lake County grand jury indicted Learvin Sambrano, of 532 N. Madison Ln. Sambrano had already been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon, said Lake County Assistant State’s Atty. Steve Scheller.
Sambrano allegedly shot a 21-year-old Antioch man during a confrontation outside a fast-food restaurant on Oct. 12. The victim recovered from the shooting.

Sambrano was being held Wednesday in Lake County Jail on $1 million bond.
Richard Brown, 18, of 2002 Woodlane Drive in Lindenhurst, was indicted Wednesday for obstruction of justice for allegedly helping Sambrano dispose of the weapon used in the shooting, Scheller said. He was being held on $100,000 bond.
